Added Capacity for Electronic Assembly in San Jose
Reducing Your PCB Build and Testing Time by 50%
Power Design Services (PDS) is happy to announce that our newly expanded electronic assembly facility is fully functional as of August 2016. More manufacturing space plus the addition of a whole new Juki line has virtually doubled our prototype assembly capabilities and capacity resulting in faster product development. With build and test cycle times cut in half, your new products can reach customers faster than the competition.
This aggressive $500k expansion project aimed to increase our PCB assembly, box build and functional testing capacities to better serve our diverse client base covering industries such as medical devices, aerospace, semiconductor testing and manufacturing equipment, telecommunications and industrial equipment. Spanning 6 months, the expansion plan included adding 5,000 sq. ft. of building space as well as the latest high-speed PCB assembly equipment to support our enhanced service offerings. Below are the highlights of our San Jose electronic assembly expansion project.
Newly Designed Electronic Assembly Facility in San Jose Handles Twice the Volume
The addition of approximately 5,000 sq. ft. to our existing 8,000-square foot, ESD-controlled plant has enabled us to handle twice the volume of electronic prototypes. In response to the increasing demand for our electronic assembly services, we have also dedicated 1,000 sq. ft. of this expanded space for additional box build and functional testing capacity. The ability to test and troubleshoot circuit boards on site at our San Jose facility will help clients reduce the risk of rework and speed up product development.
